Professional experience

Yorgos Ioannidis is currently an ITC consultant in Turkey, Greece, Bosnia and FYR of Macedonia. In Turkey he is Executive Board Member and Management Consultant of Unisystems Turkey. In Sarajevo/Bosnia and Skopje/FYROM acts as Senior Industry Adviser to EBRD (European Bank of Reconstruction and Development) and provides Management Consultancy services to SMEs in the ITC sector.

In the last 25 years has been active as a Chairman of BoD, Board Member, CEO and CTO in Telecom Companies in the Balkans and Azerbaijan. Specifically he has been Chairman of the Board in Azerfon and AzerTelecom, Board Member in OTE, COSMOT! BBTV of Azerbaijan and a multiple of other companies, CEO in Romtelecom (today known as Telekom Romania) and OTENET Greece, CTO of OTE and COSMOTE, Core Network Engineering and Network IT Manager in Panafon/Vodafone. He is a manager with strong change management, re-structuring and turn-around capabilities in large and middle-scale organisations.

Mr. Ioannidis was born and raised up in Istanbul. He got his BSc in Electrical Engineering from Bogazici University in Istanbul/Turkey and his MSc from UMass at Lowell. He is fluent with three languages (English, Greek and Turkish) and has working abilities with French, Azeri and Romanian. He is married and has three kids and lives in Athens, Greece
