Professional experience
Yiannis Ritsios CFA, is Head of Discretionary Asset Management at National Bank of Greece Asset Management. He is also Managing Director and member of the Board of Directors atNBG Asset Management Luxemburg,responsible for the management of the NBG SICAV and FCP funds. Previously he served as Head of Global Equity Strategy, Head of Alternative Portfolio Managementand Portfolio Manager at National Bank of Greece Asset Management and as Equity Research Analyst at P&K Securities. Before entering the investment industry he worked as financial analyst/controller in the Financial Planning and Control of Heineken Athenian Brewery.
He currently manages institutional investor portfolios of pension funds and insurance companies.He has experience in investment analysis and portfolio management of equities, bonds and alternative investments. Over the years he has analyzed companies to identify investment opportunities, by evaluating business models, analyzing financial statements, producing estimates of earnings and cash flows, and conducting company valuation to identify fair value. He has also developed equity and multi-asset investment strategies based on fundamental research, style analysis, trend following, and low volatility.
He is a CFA Charterholder, he holds an MBA with major in Finance from Imperial College Business School and an MSc in Telecommunications and Signal Processing from Imperial College. He graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is certified by the Hellenic Capital Market Committee as Equity Analyst (Δ), Fund Manager (Γ) and Derivatives Trader (Athens Derivatives Exchange).
He has instructed in CFA preparatorycourses in Greece, Europe and Middle East and he part-time professor in the MSc program of ALBA Business School and the MBA and MSc programs of DereeGraduate School.
He is the Past President and founding member of the CFA Society Greece. Currently he is board member of the CFA Society Greece and chair of the GIPS Greece country sponsor.
