Professional experience
Yiannis Giokas is a senior technology executive with an entrepreneurship spirit and solid business acumen. He is driven by his problem solving attitude and his obsession with enterprise solutions in the areas of analytics, big data and cybesecurity. Yiannis has a strong academic background with extensive experience in leadership, solutions architecture, product & business development and team building in multicultural and international environments; both in startups and large multinational corporations.
Today, he serves as VP of Research & Development for PCCW Global, Hong Kong Telecom’s international arm.
Prior to that, he was the Founder & CEO of Crypteia Networks, which was acquired by PCCW Global in October 2014. Following that, He took over the role of VP of Cybersecurity with PCCW Global. He also served in a number of executive positions in system integration, consulting and banking sectors within the broader ICT domain.
Yiannis is also an active member of the startup community where he acts as angel investor, mentor and advisor in the areas of analytics, big data and cybersecurity.
