Professional experience
Thomas’ background combines science and technology with management and public policy. On the tech side Thomas has worked and carried out research on theoretical and experimental nanotechnology at Yale University and TUDelft, focusing on quantum electronics. He later interned at the Permanent Delegation of the European Union to the United Nations after concluding his graduate studies on management and governance at LSE.
Thomas is passionate about education and innovative technologies. During the past years he gained a great deal of experience on entrepreneurship education during his work as Program Manager at the International Hellenic University. Passionate about strengthening students’ exposure to entrepreneurship, he systematically brought students in close contact with Greek entrepreneurs and startups through lectures, presentations, meetups and workshops, also assisting students prepare their business plans and pitching. Thomas has also contributed to setting up a Greek solidarity network focusing on professional advancement, innovation and entrepreneurship.
He is currently Country Advisor for Greece to the International Accelerator, a startup acceleration program based in Austin TX which focuses exclusively on non-US startup founders.
