STELIOS KOUTSIVITIS

Professional experience
Born in 1973, Stelios Koutsivitis studied Business Administration and Finance at the Athens University of Economics and Business and he received an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York.
From 2010 he has been Executive Director of Kokari Ltd, a hospitality investment and management company investing in South Eastern Europe that manages Metropol Palace in Belgrade and Sheraton Sofia in Bulgaria. Both properties are Luxury Collection Hotels, within the Starwood network. Recently he has worked on acquiring nonperforming distressed debt on high-quality real estate located in the Greek and South Eastern Market, having secured the support and co-financing of a prestigious international investment funds.
He is a real estate and hospitality professional with wide-ranging international operational, asset management and investment experience in hotels, across Greece and South Eastern Europe Europe. He has been in the hotel real estate industry for over ten years, spending before five years in the City Hotels group of Daskalantonakis Group, the leading operator of 5* and 4* luxury city hotels in Greece, where he served as Executive Director.Hehas been involved in some of the largest, high profile development projects in the tourism sector in Greece and South Eastern Europe having been integral in the acquisition of over €300m worth of transactions and having managed assets of around 500 million euro.
He has served on the Board of several companies in Greece and Balkans including the Sheraton Sofia (listed in the Bulgarian Stock Exchange), Fresh Gourmet , Apollonies Aktes.
He has also served on the Tourism Committee of the American Hellenic Chamber and in the Real Estate Committee of the Foreign Investment council in Serbia.
Prior to joining Hospitality industry, he has pursued a military career, having served as an officer in the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, as Chief of Operations in the Cyber Defense Directorate, the centralized command of cyberspace operations in the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, as an officer in combat units and as Intelligence staff officer in the United Nations. He also received a Bachelor in Military studies from the Hellenic Military Academy.
He is married and has one daughter.
