Professional Experience
Vassilis is a technology entrepreneur with strong engineering and business backgrounds. He is the co-founder and CEO of Mobiltron, Inc, a technology startup that is developing WOVER, a powerful artificial intelligence platform that detects anomalies in big data streams. He is one of the co-founders and Chairman of the MIT Enterprise Forum Greece. He consults the Board of the Eugenides Foundation on issues related to technology and science and represents them on the Boards of VIORYL, a successful chemical engineering company, and Fasmatech, a startup developing original technology in the field of mass spectroscopy. He holds a dual BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (94) and MS degree in Ocean Systems Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (97). He is an active volunteer of the MIT Alumni Association since graduation and served as Chairman of the MIT Club of Greece from Jan 2011 to Jan 2015.
