Pitch Night event
The 25 semifinalists of MITEF Greece Startup Competition 2016 have already started a 3 month period of intensive mentoring with their assigned local and international mentors while attending free workshops, that will further their startup goals, such as: Perfect Pitch, Legal Advice, Marketing, Communication, Growth Strategies & Finance, Tax, Negotiation skills, How to attract foreign investors and Human Resources. These workshops are organized in cooperation with MITEF Greece’s strategic partners: the law offices Potamitis-Vekris and Foley & Lardner LLP, EY, Korn Ferry|Hay Group, Plano & Simple, marketing for tech and others.
More specifically the Perfect Pitch program (8-15 March 2016) was conducted by Linda Plano, the founder of Plano & Simple, a Boston-bazed consulting company that provides pitch and business coaching for entrepreneurs. The purpose of the workshop was to counsel the 25 semifinalists on the technique of pitching their business ideas to investors and customers, and significantly improve their performance. The basis of Perfect Pitch and all Linda’s coaching is the 10 Questions that every pitch should answer.
With the opportunity of the Perfect Pitch workshop, MIT Enterprise Forum Greece organized the Pitch Night event. Members of the semifinalist startups pitched live to a high-profile panel of MITEF Greece members, judges, mentors and investors. During the event the young entrepreneurs participating in the MITEF Greece Startup Competition 2016 had the chance to meet and exchange views with investors and members of the MITEF Greece’s community while getting valuable advises that will improve their business proposals.

We remind you that at the end of 3-month program, the jury will select the 10 most prevalent startups that will advance to the final round and will be presented at the Finals & Awards ceremony, that wil be held on June 30, 2016, at NCSR Demokritos as opening event of 4th Hellenic Forum for Science Technology and Innovation.
