Professional Experience

Aris is the Founder and Investment Director of London-based NBGI Ventures, which he has transformed into a leading investor in medical technology companies. Aris has backed companies at all stages of development from pure startups to growth companies and currently serves on the board of a number of US and European, bothpublic and private companies including: Dysis Medical, Endoscopic Technologies, EOS Imaging (NYSE Euronext: EOSI), Reverse Medical and Supersonic Imagine. He is also the Executive Chairman of Advanced Cardiac Therapeutics. Aris has been previously a board member of 2010/Technolas Perfect Vision (acquired by Bausch and Lomb), Direct Energie (acquired by Quilvest) and InternetQ (LON:INTQ).

Aris has more than 15 years venture capital and private equity experience, previously with Deutsche Bank’s and Credit Suisse First Boston’s funds. He started his career at Bankers Trust where he was a structurer of innovative derivative products. He holds Mechanical Engineering degrees from Imperial College (B.Eng) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MS) as well as an MBA from INSEAD. Aris speaks fluent English, French and Greek and business-level Spanish.
