Professional experience

Xenophon Paparrigopoulos is a partner with POTAMITISVEKRIS.

Xenophon’s extensive litigation practice is focused on handling matters relating to trademark protection, intellectual property disputes, parallel imports and competition issues. He is well-known for his EU and competition practice and is acting Head of the Department for the Legal and Technical Evaluation of Bills of the Hellenic Parliament. He has acted as legal counsel to the Scientific Service of the Greek Parliament since 1989 and the Hellenic Post from 1999-2001. Xenophon also acted as Head of the EU Studies Department of the Scientific Service from 2003-2009, during which time he was responsible for the follow-up and briefing of Parliament on important developments in EU law and the review of bills for conformity with EU legislation.

Publications: Xenophon has been widely published, most recently two articles in Kratos Dikaiou (The Rule of Law), a book published by Sakkoulas in 2011. He also published a book discussing the legal and political theory of Harvard Law professor Roberto Unger in 2008 with Sakkoulas, and the Greek Chapter in International Arbitration, published by Aspatore Books in 2005. He has written extensively on legal theories, in particular those of John Rawls and R. Dworkin. Xenophon is currently Associate Professor of Law and Philosophy at the University of the Peloponnese. He has previously held an academic position at the University of Thessaly. He is the current President of the Harvard Club of Greece.
