MIT Enterprise Forum Greece welcomes Professor Michael Bletsas to its Advisory Board

Athens, GR. –MIT Enterprise Forum Greece is pleased to announce that Michail Bletsas has joined its Advisory Board. Michail Bletsas is currently a Research Scientist and the Director of Computing at MIT’s Media Lab. Michail Bletsas brings a wide range of scientific and entrepreneurial experience that will enhance our effort to develop educational programs generating knowledge that will help technology startups and assist on building bridges with successful Diaspora Greeks in the US.
Michail Bletsas has been involved with startups in many diverse capacities: co-founder, advisor, director, investor, and consultant. Over the years, he has advised governments around technology policy issues and provided expert opinion in technical matters to top-level officials. Recently he served in the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Telecom Organization S.A. He has implemented broadband access networks using cutting-edge technologies including one of the earliest ADSL testbeds and various wireless technologies.

Mr. Bletsas in addition to being an accomplished research scientist has been a frequent keynote speaker in international conferences and has been engaged in many civic activities.
Mr. Bletsas is the second official member of the MIT Enterprise Forum Greece Advisory Board, following Marina Hatsopoulos, Entrepreneur & Angel Investor, based also in the US.
