Michael is the co-founder and President of Sylipsis, a US-based company with an international focus and offices in Greece. Through their membership and leadership in the MIT Enterprise Forum (MITEF-Greece), the Sylipsis Founders have developed IDEAtoMARKET™. By sourcing innovative and industry-disrupting ideas from idea owners at universities and research centers, and from the medical, engineering, and scientific professional community. Sylipsis IDEAtoMARKET™ provides all the critical elements necessary to develop and commercialize globally scalable products.

He is an active mentor, judge, and member of the MIT Enterprise Forum – Greece; and a current mentor at the ALBA Graduate Business School Venture Garden entrepreneurial program in Athens, Greece.

Michael is a skilled executive and strategist with business development, operational, regulatory, legislative, and communications expertise. With more than three decades of experience in leadership and team management, he currently focuses on entrepreneurial business development, strategic planning and commercialization, specializing in disruptive technology-based health care and medical; sports, and agriculture platforms.

Michael has also been an entrepreneur for nearly two decades; Michael enjoyed a successful career in government and public affairs, and in marketing and media relations with a major private hospital system in the US. Michael served as a VP of Government Affairs for the Health Insurance Association of America, directing all Congressional, White House, and Federal legislative and regulatory initiatives and was the chief industry negotiator to the White House, the US Congress, and the Federal Agencies.
