MIT Enterprise Forum Greece in cooperation with NCSR “Demokritos” organized the Final Judging & Award Ceremony of the MITEF Greece Startup Competition, a pre-forum event for the 4th Hellenic Forum for Science Technology and Innovation, on Thursday, 30 June 2016, at 18:00 at the Central Amphitheater of NCSR “Demokritos”. The MITEF Greece Startup Competition is a technology accelerating competition in which Greek technology entrepreneurs compete for prizes and global recognition that will further their startup goals.
During the event the top 10 finalists of the competition pitched live to our expert panel, which selected the winner and 2 runner-ups.
1st Prize winner: Yodiwo
2nd Prize winner: InSyBio Ltd.
3rd Prize winner: Sentio Solutions

Highlights: On Thursday, 30 June, 2016, at the Central Amphitheater of NCSR “Demokritos”, MIT Enterprise Forum Greece produced the Final Judging & Award Ceremony of MITEF Greece Startup Competition 2016, a technology accelerating competition in which Greek technology entrepreneurs compete for prizes and global recognition that will further their startup goals.
Testimonials: The competition winner, Yodiwo, is an ΙοΤ application development and deployment cloud platform offering artificial intelligence for enterprise services, profound impact to COGS. Alex Maniatopoulos, CEO, shares his excitement about being awarded.
Testimonials: The competition 1st runner up, InSyBio Ltd., is a bioinformatics company in personalized healthcare providing web tools and services for the analysis of complex biological data. Dr. Christos Alexakos, Co-founder & Senior Software Engineer, Labros Digonis, Co-founder & CEO, and Aigli Korfiati, Product Development & Support Manager, share their excitement about being awarded.

Opening remarks by Vassilis Papakonstantinou, Chairman of MITEF Greece, who warmly thanked the 90 judges, 55 mentors and 20 workshop coaches who through their efforts made MITEF Greece Startup Competition possible.

Speaker Marco Veremis, CEO & Co-founder of Upstream, shared his professional experience from starting locally to going globally: the expansion, the partnerships and the angel’s story.
Speaker Evangelos Pappas, Founder & Member of the Scientific Board at RTsafe, discussed about his experience in participating at MITEF Greece Startup Competition and especially the company’s progress after winning the 1st prize.
Opening of the Pitch Session: Charalampos Papadopoulos, Economic Diplomat & Business Developer for Tech Startups and host of the Finals & Awards ceremony, referred to his personal experience as member of the executive committee of the Competition, and also mentor and judge.
