DIMITRIS BRILIS
General Manager, Alcon Greece Cluster
Dimitris Brilis is the General Manager of Alcon Greece Cluster, responsible for all Alcon commercial business in Greece, Israel, Slovenia, Croatia, Cyprus, Albania, Kosovo, and Malta.
Dimitris most recently was Director of Corporate Strategy for Novartis International since 2012. In this role, he led the strategic planning of several Novartis enterprise-wide initiatives, including the growth acceleration plan in Brazil, the cross-divisional synergies program which resulted in the creation of Novartis Business Services, the creation of a new and innovative Patient Access initiative in low and low-to-middle income countries, as well as the acceleration of Novartis’ shift to outcomes.
Prior to joining Novartis, Dimitris was Director and member of the country senior management team of AstraZeneca Greece with responsibility of primary care marketing, corporate communications and business development. He was also member of the Southern Europe and Israel area transformation team.
Prior to that, Dimitris worked as Operations Controller at Hygeia Group, the largest private hospital operator in Southeastern Europe, responsible for organizing the group operations, centralizing the procurement framework and operational setup of a greenfield hospital in Albania.
Dimitris has also worked at the Boston Consulting Group, focusing on strategy and operations in healthcare, energy and consumer goods across Eastern Europe, Middle East and North Africa for over 4 years.
He holds a Bachelor and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and Masters in Business Administration from Columbia Business School, USA.
