Dr. Dan Marom is a thought leader in the FinTech and crowdfunding arenas, serving as the CEO of Irrational Innovations (www.irrationalinnovations.com) a TechImpact
Powerhouse for FinTech Solutions for emerging markets, with a focus on SubSaharan Africa. In 2010, Dr. Marom coauthored a pioneering book in the field of crowdfunding “The Crowdfunding Revolution”. The second edition was published in 2012 by McGrawHill.

Since then, Dr. Marom has been fortunate to speak passionately about crowdfunding around the globe, teach students, consult entrepreneurs, corporations and policy makers, and hold several board memberships and advisory board. Dr. Marom advising international organizations such as the World Bank , the European Commission and other organizations and foundations that are operating in the alternative finance field. He brings insights developed through rigorous analysis of data as part of his research work, and written extensively about crowdfunding and its impact within it. His latest book, “Crowdfunding: The corporate era” (2015) was recently published by Elliott & Thompson.

Dr. Marom current focus is in empowering tech impact ventures that are targeting underserved communities in emerging countries, as the CEO and cofounder of Irrational Innovations. Dr. Marom lives in Tel Aviv, Israel, holds a Phd in Finance at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, an MBA (Cum Laude), and a BSC in Electrical Engineering.
